Finn, the electric golf cycle that’s adding fun and speeding up the pace of play, has teamed up with EAGL software to simplify the rental process. The EAGL technology makes the cycles keyless, offers a seamless in-app payment solution, and allows live booking and fleet monitoring. All new Finn Cycles are being equipped with EAGL technology, and the existing Finn Cycles in rental fleets at over 160 golf courses across the country are transitioning to the new app. To find a Finn for rental near you or buy one yourself, go to FinnScooters.com.
Developed by Rick Reimers, founder of the long-pioneering golf equipment company Sun Mountain Sports, Finn Cycle is a two-wheeled, single-rider golf cycle with an electric motor that offers a comfortable and stable ride that leaves all who use it smiling.
“The inspiration for Finn is the desire to bring some fun to the game while speeding up the pace of play,” said Rick Reimers. “This new EAGL app brings that same mission of ease and speed to the rental process, benefiting the pro shop and the golfer.”
Kai Stiberg of EAGL Technology mentioned, “We’ve been fortunate to witness growth in the Scandinavian golf technology sector. Now, with Finn Scooters by our side, we are eager to share our solutions with the US market.”
With the EAGL app, golfers can conveniently check the availability of scooters and make advance bookings at participating golf courses. For the golf course, the EAGL app efficiently provides live booking and payment solutions and real-time fleet monitoring on a map. This technology can also be expanded to the courses’ traditional two-person golf cart rental fleet. The EAGL app is free in the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Finn Cycle offers an exhilarating ride with easy golf club access and riding stability, with the golf bag sitting along the center line of the cycle. Finn Cycle has front and rear suspension for a comfortable ride and braking with hand-operated disc brakes. The electric motor is in the rear wheel, offering a sleek design. The lithium battery can reach 36 holes on a single charge, though charging after every round is suggested.
Finn travels at the same speed as a traditional golf cart, approximately 15 mph, and offers the opportunity to substantially speed up the pace of play by naturally encouraging ready golf with each player driving directly to their ball.
Finn offers several acquisition options for golf courses, including lease plus revenue share, direct purchase, and fleet financing. Finn is also available for individual purchase and personal use with prices from $3,499.
Reimers has a well-deserved reputation for creating innovative golf products that become industry mainstays, such as the golf bag with built-in legs and the golf push cart. Is Finn Cycle the next innovation from Reimers that’ll evolve from a head-turner to the accepted standard? History is on his side.
