PXG has introduced the 0317 T irons, which fill out their line of irons for better players. The new models are a more forgiving, hollow foam-filled design that complements the 0317 ST (Super Tour) blades and 0317 CB (Cavity Back).

Better players wanting a blade-look-alike PXG iron but with more forgiveness than the 0317 ST or 0317 CB should take a look at the 0317 T model. The 8620 soft carbon steel body has a slightly larger profile. According to company testing, it produces excellent distance control, which is helped by the S COR polymer on the inside that provides head stability and reduces face flex at impact.

As with the other two models in this series, a professional may adjust the large back weight when the clubs are initially fit but not by the user after purchase.

The 0317 T iron faces are very thin and forged from HT 1770 maraging, i.e., very low carbon, stainless steel. Because the face weighs less, the head weight distribution is pushed towards the edges, which in turn raises the resistance to twisting or MOI, a proven way to make any iron more forgiving.

PXG Founder and CEO Bob Parsons said of the 0317 T irons, “From the materials and processes we use to the extremely tight tolerances we maintain; these clubs are built the way they are designed and are consistent club-to-club so that elite players can experience total control and more than a touch of forgiveness.”
