Callaway Apex Pro Series Irons
The Callaway Apex Pro Series for 2023 is an update of the previous Apex 2021 models, which have been a favorite with better amateurs and professional players.
Callaway’s Apex irons were the first iron in what has become known as the players’ distance category and have succeeded at every level. The company says they have been the #1 selling iron in that category since 2014.
Apex TCBs (Tour Cavity Back) from three years ago are played by many on the PGA Tour and the new CB ‘24s have been designed to effectively replace them, and the company predicts they will soon be the most popular model they have on Tour.
The most interesting feature is the consistency across the four models in lofts, head shapes, and sole geometries. This allows any of them to be used in a combination set. Tour players could be expected to use a UT 2- and 3-iron with MB 4-, 5-, and 6-irons leaving 7-iron through 9-iron for the CBs.
