In two separate PGA ceremonies, Troon’s Founder and Executive Chairman Dana Garmany has been honored recently by both the PGA of America and the Southwest Section of the PGA. In Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the 105th PGA of America Annual Meeting, Garmany was honored as the First PGA Golf Executive of the Year, headlining a class of 12 PGA Professional honorees recognized for excellence, accomplishment, and contribution to their sections and communities.

A week later he became the 47th recipient of the Southwest PGA Golf Professional of the Year Award, the highest honor by the section to a PGA Professional. Dana headed the distinguished Southwest class for “qualities of leadership, strong moral character, and a substantial record of service” to the Southwest PGA and the game of golf.

Dana Garmany has more than 35 years of golf industry experience developing and operating golf facilities worldwide. Under his leadership, Troon has become the largest employer of PGA Professionals in the world.
