Pinehurst, N.C.–The time is now. The Dormie Club is opening with an all-new clubhouse, a stand-alone pro shop and 15 member cottages. The long-awaited renovation of the club sets a new standard for an entirely unique golf experience members will find at the Dormie Network’s nationally ranked collection of private and pure golf destination clubs.
After 18 months of renovation and construction, the Grand Reopening of Dormie Club, the network’s namesake club in the Home of American Golf happened in late September. The club’s capital improvement plan was announced soon after acquisition by the Dormie Network. The only original Coore & Crenshaw design in North Carolina was completely revamped, starting with a restoration of the turf back to its pristine 2010 condition. The once secluded club’s 310 acres of peaceful yet outstanding golf blend seamlessly into the rolling countryside(named the #3 best new course by Golf Digest when it opened and the 15th best in North Carolina for 2021) just a short drive from downtown Pinehurst.
Complementing the award-winning course is the new 16,600-square-foot clubhouse with a 42 seat cozy lounge overlooking the 18th green, a two-sided fireplace, a circular 12 seat wine room, a 32 seat dining room with additional seating on the covered patio.
The member accommodations are as spectacular as the course. The new 60 beds are spread across three lodging options ranging in size from 10 standard cottages with 4 master suites( nothing standard about them), four executive cottages to a massive two-level owner’s cottage that overlooks the lake next to the 5th fairway.
