The BallenIsles Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens took luxury up a few notches this year with an expansion and renovation of its clubhouse to 115,000 square feet incorporating world class amenities that redefine scale and style.

The Clubhouse has been redesigned to capture vistas of the famed East Course where Jack Nicklaus and many other PGA legends competed for major championships. From the spectacular Grand Lobby with vaulted ceilings and clerestory windows to the iconic Harry’s Lounge in tribute to its long tenured, well storied PGA Professional, Harry Pezzullo, the sweeping architectural changes maximize both indoor and outdoor usage and views. Dining and social experiences include an expanded Circle 100 Main Dining Room, a new and modern upscale restaurant called Evolution, and the spectacular addition of The BallenIsles Grille overlooking the 18th green. Fondly dubbed The B.I.G. it features a blend of gastropub cuisine and 18 TVs for never missing a game or golf tournament.

Harry’s has been expanded with an additional 9,000 square feet of outdoor verandas for dining, relaxing and spending quality time with friends and family on the Grand and Golf Terraces. Other accoutrements include two new kitchens and an expansion of the stylish Men’s and Ladies Card, Locker and Meeting Rooms. In all BallenIsles will have seven dining venues available to its members by year’s end including Bistro 105, Rendezvous Room and the Cabana.

“The entire project was built around the very simple idea of providing something special for everyone. This redesign and expansion perfectly complements our state-of-the-art sports complex and spa.

And when a project of this complexity and size comes in on time and on budget, it is icing on the cake for our membership. We are really proud of all who have contributed to the success of the renovation which we will enjoy for many years to come,” said BallenIsles Board of Directors President, Michael Muntner. None of this would have been possible without the tireless efforts of the club’s member volunteers who had the vision, expertise and energy to bring the project to fruition.

Last year, BallenIsles Country Club named Troon Prive’ Division President Ryan Walls as its new general manager/COO to oversee the $35 million renovation. Ryan is a 20-year member of the PGA of America and a former Horton Smith Award winner. Since joining Troon in 1996, his operational leadership posts have included directing the company’s Australia, Asia & Pacific divisions. Prior to his appointment as President of Troon Prive’ in 2016, Walls served as Senior Vice President of Operations, overseeing a number of multi course properties and Troon’s Sales and Marketing Department.

“In working with Ryan through his corporate support as President of Troon Prive’, the Board was impressed with his broad range of experience,” said Dr. Jack Cook, former President of the Board of Directors. “He has been involved with the construction and redevelopment of numerous golf courses and clubhouses, and has a reputation for building and leading strong teams. He is strategic in nature with an acute eye for detail. These qualities the Board believes to be critical to our club’s future success and sustainability.”

“We have a diverse membership and this new clubhouse and its amenities offer something for all. It is stylish and comfortable at the same time, providing opportunities for socializing, and most importantly, multiple dining opportunities that are valued highly by our members. The Board and designers listened to what our members wanted and delivered on it,” said Walls. “This renovation continues our path of reinforcing BallenIsles as the leading country club community, focused on quality and enjoyment for the membership.”
