Five times the charm! Troon, the leader in golf course management, development, and marketing, was named “Management Company of the Year” for 2018 byBoardRoom Magazine in the publication’s 20th annual “Excellence in Achievement awards. In addition CADDIEMASTER, a division of Troon was awarded “Caddie Company of the Year.” The announcements came in the magazine’s December issue, making the fifth consecutive year Troon has been honored with the distinction and the first time for CADDIEMASTER to be recognized.

BoardRoom Magazine’s industry peers review and select outstanding suppliers and consultants, which represent various aspects of course and club operations. Winners, each year, are selected for overall excellence in their respective fields, achievements, innovation, vision for future growth and continued impact on private club operations. The BoardRoom “Excellence in Achievement” awards are the private club industry’s only awards recognizing the clubs’ business partners.

Troon managed golf properties around the world are continuing a four-out-of-five week run hosting five professional golf events in four weeks for the PGA TOUR, Ladies European Tour, Web.com Tour and The European Tour. Following the Sentry Tournament of Champions at Kapalua Golf’s Plantation Course in Maui, Hawaii, the Ladies European Tour stopped at Saadiyat Beach Club in United Arab Emirates for the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Open. The next week, the Web.com Tour played The Bahamas Great Exuma Classic at Sandals Emerald Bay while the Abu Dhabi HSBS Championship was being played. The European Tour again teed it up at another Troon managed property, this time at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club for the Saudi International the first weekend in February.

In total there are 17 professional golf events across nine tours held at Troon managed facilities around the world. Including high-level amateur events and qualifiers, Troon properties will host more than 30 elite events in 2019.
