New Mobile 3D Technology Drives Golf’s Digital Evolution

Guided Knowledge (GK) debuted its technology in the Inventor’s Spotlight Forum at the PGA Show and was awarded the United Inventor’s Association’s Pinnacle Award. GK is pioneering technologies that can see you in action, assess your performance and provide real-time feedback via digital coaching tools.

The UIA’s Pinnacle Award for Best in Show recognizes the successful development of a product takes talent, knowledge and tenacity. The award is designed to recognize the broadest range of efforts by the inventors, including design, market research, sales, fulfillment, manufacturing and quality.

“We couldn’t be more proud to be the recipients of the prestigious Pinnacle Award.  We have been working hard to create entirely new 3D technology that is mobile, accessible and offers elite golfers and their coaches an unprecedented 360-degree view of their swing signature,” says Kevin West, CEO. “We are grateful to the United Inventor’s Association for recognizing the technology, the team and the potential for our first product.”

Warren Tuttle, President of the United Inventors Association said, “The ability to provide instant feedback to your performance through next generation high tech analytics made Guided Knowledge our Pinnacle Award winner.”

GK’s patent-pending technology includes the GK Smart Suit, a base layer garment embedded with 18-sensors that can measure speed, angle and direction at a rate of 1K samples per second. This enables theGK Motion System to capture users’ biomechanical movement patterns in extreme detail and with unparalleled accuracy. The motion data is transmitted to the GK Pod and processed using a series of complex algorithms to analyze and understand the user’s performance. The GK App provides performance feedback via a customizable metrics dashboard as well as a sophisticated 3D avatar with a 360-degree view. The performance data is stored in the Cloud, which allows users to access and/or share the feedback anytime, anywhere across devices.

GK’s first product caters to elite golfers and their coaches. However, the technology can be applied to numerous sports like running, tennis, baseball and skiing as well as other categories like health, wellness, workplace, performing arts and others. GK is scheduled to launch its golf product in Q1 2019.
