THE GOLF COURSES:

The Slammer & The Squire was designed by American Society of Golf Course Architects and Golf Course Superintendents of America member Bobby Weed with design consultants Sam(the Slammer) Snead and Gene(the Squire) Sarazen and opened in 1998. The golf course has hosted six nationally televised events including the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf, a PGA Tour Champions event. The immaculately maintained course incorporates the unspoiled woodlands and wetlands of the North Florida area along with contoured greens and a few water elements, along with the views of the World Golf Hall of Fame.

The King & Bear is the only collaboration of World Golf Hall of Fame 1974 inaugural class inductees, Arnold(The King) Palmer and Jack(Golden Bear) Nicklaus. These two legends of the game put their heads together and the resulting design is beautiful, challenging and remarkable. Golf Digest picked it as one of the ‘Best Public Courses You Can Play.’ The course opened in late 2000 and shortly thereafter the two giants played each other in the Shell’s Wonderful World of Golf on the new layout. Palmer shot his age, a 1 under 71, while Jack carded a 75.
