by | Jun 9, 2021 | PRO SHOP

Cleveland Golf’s flagship RTX ZipCore wedge gets an update with the RTX Full-Face Wedge having grooves across the entire face so when a shot calls for impact towards the toe, spin is still imparted to the ball for distance control and stopping on the green.

WYNTK:

You and I are not Phil Mickelson and at least in my case don’t have Lefty’s astounding talent with a wedge but that doesn’t mean we can’t learn to hit useful scoring shots and having wedges in the bag that help us is a must.

Cleveland’s well-regarded RTX ZipCore wedge line has been expanded with the addition of grooves over the entire face and thus the name RTX Full-Face Wedge.

Having the expanded area of grooves means significant ball spin is generated even when impact is close to the toe, in other words when trying to hit the infamous flop shot. Add to that the perimeter weighting, high toe and aggressive grooves the Full-Face model will develop to be a favorite for those wanting to improve their scoring around the green.

The standard sole grind is Cleveland’s C-grind designed especially for open face impacts and shallow angles of attack.

“The new RTX Full-Face maintains the traditional and striking clean look that golfers have come to expect from a Cleveland wedge, all while adding shotmaking creativity with grooves across the entire face,” said Ryan Polanco, General Manager at Cleveland Golf. “It’s the perfect complement to the classic RTX ZipCore and delivers exceptional versatility around the greens.”
