Fort Myers, Florida – The Bobby Nichols Fiddlesticks Charity Foundation will host its 20th annual Nichols Cup Pro-Am Golf & Tennis Tournaments, a series of charity events to benefit local causes, on Friday, Feb. 18 through Monday, Feb. 21 at Fiddlesticks Country Club in Fort Myers.

Fiddlesticks Country Club is a gated, golf community of about 600 homes featuring two championship golf courses – Long Mean and Loch Ness. Through generous annual donations from members and outside sponsors, the Bobby Nichols Fiddlesticks Charity Foundation has raised over $13.5 million. And, all funds are distributed to local Fort Myers children’s charities.

Fiddlesticks Country Club will host the 20th annual Bobby Nichols Cup & Charity Gala Feb. 18 – 21 bringing the 20-year total amount raised to over $15 million.

The Bobby Nichols Fiddlesticks Charity Foundation was established in 1992 and named after member Bobby Nichols, whose 30-year pro career includes 15 wins from from 1960 – 1989, including the 1964 PGA Championship and 1974 Canadian Open. A group of Fiddlesticks members known as “Pipers“, decided the best way to help local families struggling to make ends meet was to create a charity and the best way to raise funds was to organize a Pro-Am golf tournament, tennis tournament, dinner and auction.

This year’s four-day event will feature golf and tennis tournaments, a gala event, and live and silent auctions. Funds raised through the event, sponsorships and auctions will be distributed by the Foundation to four local children’s charities. The tournament expects to top $15 million with all proceeds going to local children’s charities including Children’s Advocacy Center of Southwest Florida, Abuse Counseling & Treatment, Blessings in a Backpack and Liberty Youth Ranch.
