Heritage Golf Collection Hilton Head Honors Veterans & Military

From November 10th to the 17th, The Heritage Golf Collection on Hilton Head Island is hosting “Military Week” to raise awareness and funds for several military outreach programs and support our troops. The programs include Operation Homefront, Birdies for the Brave and Tennis Thanks the Troops. Heritage will host family friendly activities throughout the week at three-award winning golf resort-style properties.

Military Week kicks off at Port Royal Golf & Racquet Club Friday 11/10 with a special event benefiting Tennis Thanks the Troops at their award-winning tennis facility with a Fast Action Drill Clinic followed by a Doubles Exhibition featuring top Hilton Head Tennis Professionals.

Port Royal Golf & Racquet Club will host a charity golf tournament Monday 11/13 benefiting Birdies for the Brave, a PGA TOUR charity dedicated to raising funds and awareness for homefront groups that provide critical services to meet the specialized needs of military members, wounded veterans and their families. The LagerHead Tavern at Oyster Reef Golf Club will host a family friendly Oyster Roast from 5pm-8pm, Friday 11/17.  Attendees will enjoy “All You Can Eat Oysters & Wings” and live music featuring a local band. Port Royal Golf & Racquet Club will hold an Open House on Thursday 11/16 from 2-6pm featuring a “Taste of Heritage” which includes signature hors d’oeures from each of our restaurants, live entertainment and a cash bar.There is complimentary entry for Active Military and all others-a donation at the door permits entry.  Call 843-681-1700.

In addition to the events, Active Military and their spouses can play golf or tennis for free at the five courses during Military Week. Veterans, their spouses and guests of Active Military will receive a significant discount on golf, tennis and food at the Heritage Collection properties, plus preferred rates at partner hotels. Local residents can mention “Military Week”, and with a $5 donation, will receive a complimentary appetizer at their three great restaurants: LagerHead Tavern, Robber’s Row Grille or Backyard Pub. All donations and Military Week net proceeds will be distributed to the three outreach programs.
