GOLFZON has again been recognized by Golf Digest, the world’s top golf publication, as an Editors’ Choice Award winner for “Best Simulator/Premium” in the Best Gear & Gadgets area, the publication announced on Wednesday. GOLFZON was also chosen in 2017 and 2018 and will have placement and a description of its state-of-the-art golf simulator in the June 2019 issue of Golf Digest.
The Editors’ Choice Award program was launched in 2016 with the mission of identifying “The Best Things in Golf,” with an emphasis on lifestyle properties, products and services. There will be exclusive coverage of GOLFZON and other winners in Golf Digest’s June print and digital editions, on GolfDigest.com, as well as potential expanded coverage on Golf Digest Stix and social platforms.
“GOLFZON is excited to be recognized for a third consecutive year by the world’s most widely-read and respected golf publication,” said Tommy Lim, CEO of GOLFZON America Inc. “Our technological advances globally and more recently in the United States marketplace are allowing us to introduce more golfers, homeowners, clubs and businesses to GOLFZON. We are grateful to Golf Digest for recognizing the excellence of our simulators. This honor once again emphasizes our company philosophy of making golf more enjoyable for everyone.”
Golf Digest is the most widely-read golf publication in the world and goes by the mantra of THINK YOUNG/PLAY HARD, a viewpointsimilar to GOLFZON and its global efforts to bring golf simulators to more potential and dedicated golfers for fun, instruction and competition.
In its 2018 Editors’ Choice recognition, Golf Digest wrote about the GOLFZON Vision system: “Rather than a standard mat, a user can replicate various course conditions like fairway, rough or sand positions on a moving swing plate. This plate gives the user the ability to contour and undulate, producing the type of terrain that’s encountered on the course. The system’s sensors capture your swing, impact and spin, not only displaying your ball flight but recording, and storing, key data points, which are stored via the cloud on various electronic devices. Better yet, the Vision’s visual artistry is unmatched, illustrating your trajectory against the backdrop of more than 160 elegant venues like St. Andrews, Pebble Beach, Kiawah Island and Turnberry.”
Based on GOLFZON research from 2015, 80 percent of total new golfers in South Korea use simulation golf to get started and then experience green-grass golf, including the successful introduction to the game for many PGA TOUR and LPGA players. There are 57 million rounds of golf played on GOLFZON simulators annually around the world.
GOLFZON has had a busy early 2019 with participation in the Consumer Electronics (CES) Show in Las Vegas with multiple sports simulators; the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, partnering with PGA Magazine on a closest to the pin contest; the Home Builders Show in Las Vegas; and the 5th USGA Golf Innovation Symposium in early March in Tokyo, Japan, the bi-annual gathering presented by the USGA in conjunction with the Japan Golf Association.
GOLFZON is a leading global golf culture and a best-selling golf simulator company. GOLFZON has a presence in 46 countries with 5,500 sites around the world and 56 million rounds of golf played on the GOLFZON system in 2017. GOLFZON also conducts the world’s first simulation golf tournament, called G-TOUR, with total prize money of more than $1 million. Proving the reliability and quality of GOLFZON’s state-of-the-art technology, the Men’s and Women’s GTOUR Championships are broadcast live in Korea and Japan. This success is based on connection to the global community and the highly accurate sensor technology. GOLFZON Live Festival (GLF) is a unique online service that gives all GOLFZON users worldwide the opportunity to participate in the global simulator tournament. In addition, GOLFZON’s cutting-edge sensor technology is internationally recognized so much that GOLFZON VISION and GOLFZON DRIVING RANGE (GDR) systems have been chosen as the official training systems of the National Golf Teams of Korea, China and Taiwan.
