Chateau Elan Winery & Resort Partners with Troon

Chateau Elan Winery & Resort, the enchanting 16th French century-styled luxury resort located in Braselton, nestled among North Georgia’s picturesque foothills, has selected Troon, the leader in golf management, development and marketing, to manage the golf and re-imagined clubhouse food and beverage operations at the Chateau Golf Club.

Featuring two-18 hole championship golf courses and a 9 hole short course, the Golf Club is open to resort and daily-fee play. The Chateau course opened in 1989 and was designed by ASGCA member Denis Griffiths. The 7030
yard, par 71 course winds along three lakes and two creeks with water lurking on 10 of the 18 holes. Another Griffith’s design, the Woodlands course opened for play in 1996. With rolling hills and tree lined fairways this stunning 6735 yard, par 72 layout provides spectacular views on all 18 holes. The Club’s short course in located behind the Inn at the Chateau and features beautifully landscaped holes varying in length from 100 to over 200 yards.

“With their level of expertise in golf management, the decision to partner with Troon came naturally,” said Ed Walls, General Manager at Chateau Elan Winery & Resort.” This will continue to expand upon and elevate the exceptional offering we already provide at Chateau Elan.”

The recently renovated Chateau Elan Golf Club now includes a refreshed front porch and players’ lounge, a newly redesigned golf pro shop, expanded locker rooms with upgraded finishes and fixtures as well as a new roof, paint job and fresh landscaping around the building.

The Club’s restaurant has been rebranded as Sarazen’s Bar & Grille and now includes a large central bar, open dining room, an entirely new large back porch for outdoor dining overlooking the 18th green and a ‘backyard’ area with lounge seating with fire pits.

“Chateau Elan is a stunning property,” said Mitch Harrell, President, Troon. “We’re really excited about the recent enhancements and improvements made at the Club. Our golf and food & beverage teams will now look to enhance the entire guest experience at the Chateau Golf Club.” Troon manages Savannah Quarters and the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa also in Georgia.

Chateau Elan’s ‘Wee Links’ short game practice facility offers a place for guests to practice putting, pitching, chipping and bunker play. To assist guests in further improving their short game proficiency, Chateau Elan is now home to the Dave Pelz Scoring Game School, with one day clinics as well as two and three day schools available throughout the year. The Club’s PGA Certified Golf Staff is available for private instruction, and for planning golf outings and tournaments.

The South’s Premier Golf Experience, the AAA Four Diamond Chateau Elan offers guests for business or leisure a unique destination experience marked by unmatched luxury, distinguished accommodation offerings and amenities; Home to the most awarded winery in the Southeast, seven delectable restaurants, 40,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, a destination Spa, second to none, and a Stan Smith designed Tennis Center.
