Sun N’ Lake Golf Club Hosts Tour

Highlands County’s premier golf club, Sun N’ Lake will be the host for the first 2015 Tour(ST Tour) event January 6-8th.The golf club located in Sebring, Florida boasts two 18 hole championship courses managed by Billy Casper Golf which will test the mettle of the aspiring professionals vying for a guaranteed purse of $40,000

The Tour, formerly the NGA Tour/NGA Hooters Tour, is a development tour for the PGA Tour and plays their 22 competitions throughout the southeast states with 54 hole stroke play championships. Amateurs and professionals can compete side by side which makes for exciting finishes. At Sun N Lake this week, the Qualifying School for the PGA’s Latino America Tour will be going on as well within the competition. Players like Zach Johnson, Keegan Bradley and Bubba Watson honed their skills on the Tour and all became Major Champions. The total payout for the 22 event schedule will be $2.5 million, the highest it has ever been since inception.

The Winter Series events will continue through Central Florida at Disney’s Lake Buena Vista layout, Metro West Golf Club, Timucuan Golf & CC, Black Bear GC and Red Tail Country Club. In September of 2014 , Golf Interact, parent company to the Swing Thought Brand, acquired the NGA Tour. Michael Rush, Founder and CEO of Golf Interact plans to make the ST Tour the best professional Tour outside of the PGA Tour.
