Golf vacations and getaways that also include some off-the-course TLC are ready and waiting at Wintergreen Resort in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, where two distinctly different golf experiences provide challenge for the true golf lover all summer long.
Devils Knob Golf Course is the ultimate mountaintop golf course (highest elevation in Virginia). Reserved expressly for Wintergreen Resort guests and Devils Knob members, the dramatic setting unveils 50-mile Blue Ridge Mountain. While the cool mountain air is a refreshing change during the summer season, the unique shot values and classic challenges of Devils Knob remain the same, time after time.
Stoney Creek Golf Course is a 27-hole Rees Jones design through the Rockfish Valley, blended gracefully into the rolling landscape, with the majestic mountain range serving as a backdrop. Stoney Creek’s combination of nines offers an invigorating variety of golf year-round, for the serious competitor and vacation golfer alike.
Wintergreen’s selection of accommodations includes 230 villa-style condominiums and rental homes, from studio suites to seven-bedroom homes, each offering fully equipped kitchen, and comfortable living area, most with fireplaces and a balcony or deck.
