Tahlequah, Oklahoma (June 30, 2014) – SNAG® Golf (Starting New at Golf), a global leader in player development, is sponsoring the 3rd annual Pro Junior Tournament at the Breakers Rees Jones Course in West Palm Beach, Florida on July 1. Over the past 10 years, SNAG Golf has built a premier learning system which is recognized by industry global leaders as the superior method to teach golf fundamentals in a fun and easy way. SNAG is taught in 42 countries and 15,000 schools and golf facilities worldwide. It is part of all First Tee programs, and is played at hundreds of camps across the country.
“SNAG Golf is currently in the third sponsorship year of a three year commitment of the South Florida Pro Junior Tournament,” said John Leighton, SNAG Golf U.S. Professional Sales Manager. “The Miami-Dade Parks and Recreation Department runs one of the largest junior golf programs anywhere in Florida and SNAG equipment and programming is at every event. The SNAG system contains age appropriate equipment and programming to effectively teach the game of golf to people of all ages and ability levels. The kids love it and so do their parents.”
The one-day contest will begin with a 9 a.m. shotgun start followed by a luncheon awards ceremony. Teams will be comprised of one PGA Professional or Apprentice and one junior golfer aged 10-18. The Pro Junior Tournament will be 18 holes: 9 holes scramble and 9 holes better ball format, with tees based on age and gender.
