Low lofted long irons are difficult to hit even for the best players, but Wilson feels as do most other manufacturers the potential benefits are worth it. Long par-3s, tight par-4s and super precise second shots on par-5s are all logical situations for the Staff Model RB Utility.
The face is forged from maraging steel C300 grade with added titanium and cobalt in the alloy making it extremely hard. Internal ribs further strengthen the face, and the hollow construction pushes weight towards the perimeter and lower in the head. The sole is nice and wide to help get the desired ball launch angle.
