Play in the World’s Largest Amateur Golf Tournament

If golf is your passion then this year’s Myrtle Beach World Amateur Handicap Championship is where you want to be. In its’ 31st year, the World Am playing August 25-29 is a Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday event like no other. Over 3,500 golfers from every state and 25 countries will compete on 60 outstanding courses for the 72 hole net stroke play tournament that flights players into five competitive divisions based on age, gender and USGA handicap. It is open to golfers 17 years of age and older.

From registration to the thrilling 18 hole championship on Friday, the ‘Grand Daddy’ of all amateur events is a first class experience where players will feel the same pressure the professionals deal with every week on tour. After the four rounds of competition, all flight winners and ties advance to the World Championship Playoff where a winner is crowned. While competition is the heart of the World Am’s appeal, it’s only half the fun.

A participant’s entry fee also includes nightly admission to the “World’s Largest 19th Hole” at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. The ‘Hole’ utilizes 120,000 square feet of space and provides the players free food, an open bar, equipment demos, live entertainment, a 60 booth exhibitor golf expo and more. It is a gathering place where friendships are forged, the days’ game scrutinized and an opportunity to meet the players and socialize.

So get in the game and join the revelry and competition. This year’s World Am is going to make history once again and you’ll want to be part of the fun. Registration and more information is available at
