Mizuno JPX-850 Woods & Hybrids with New Shock Wave Sole

One of the leaders in golf technology and innovation, Mizuno USA, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Mizuno Corporation, headquartered in Norcross, Georgia, is introducing the dynamic JPX-850 Fairway Woods and Hybrids featuring their new Shock Wave Sole Technology. The new woods and hybrids promise Mizuno’s most dynamic launch and flight characteristics, due to the new technology Rebound Crown Design which provides greater club head flex on impact thus delivering more of the energy from the swing to the ball for increased distance. Moreover, a strategic weight shift of additional mass in the club head to the front and back adjusts the center of gravity(COG), increasing sweet area for easier launch on strikes direct from the turf.

In the JPX-850 Fairway Wood, Mizuno has incorporated Quick Switch Technology to enable easy and fast modifications to loft and lie angle up to a 4 degree range. The end result is balanced performance, tremendous distance, and ultimate forgiveness.

“For most golfers, it’s very challenging to attack pin locations from long range where shot trajectory needs to be high enough for the ball to land softly or ‘stick’,” said Chuck Couch, Vice President of Product Development, Golf Division. ” With the JPX-850 woods golfers are going to hit long range shots with a much higher launch angle, allowing them to go for the pin more aggressively than ever before.”

The JPX-850 Fairway Woods and Hybrids both utilize a HOT METAL face design with an ultra thin maraging steel for solid feel and explosive distance. Providing the maximum allowable limit of COR by the USGA, the woods and hybrids utilize a Waffle Crown Design for greater COR area and increased ball speeds, while incorporating Mizuno’s innovative Harmonic Impact Technology(H.I.T.) to deliver a solid feel and powerful sound at impact.

The Woods come in 3 different degrees of loft while the Hybrids 4 with shafts of Stiff, Regular & Ladies. Special Options are available through Mizuno’s Custom Department. The MSRP is $249.99 for the JPX-850 Woods and $199.99 for the Hybrids available in store November 7, 2014.

The #1 LPGA Player, Stacy Lewis said, “Hybrids have always played an important part in my set make-up. With this new JPX-850 Hybrid I have seen a noticeable improvement in distance control and ease of ball flight.”
