A premier resort destination for more than twenty years, Bay Point Resort is currently undergoing an extensive renovation project that includes a complete remodel of the 200 room hotel, spa and conference area. During the renovation, the Resort’s two championship courses will remain fully operational with optimal course conditions.

Situated amidst a 1,100 acre wildlife sanctuary with views of the salt water march and Gulf of Mexico, Bay Point includes a pair of great 18 hole golf courses. The Meadows course was originally designed by William Byrd in 1973 and remains a local favorite among the residents of Bay County. The design routes through towering pine forests with narrow fairways and undulating greens, and was the mainstay of the resort until 2005.

Jack Nicklaus teamed up with Bruce Devlin and Robert von Hagge to create the Nicklaus Course, a dramatic change to the Meadows that delivers unmatched views of the marshes, the Grand Lagoon and St. Andrews Bay. The Nicklaus Course, the first and only Jack Nicklaus Signature design in Northwest Florida, offers a stern test of golfers with abundant water, marshes and bunkers coming into play throughout.

In addition to the courses, the Resort includes a tennis club, multiple dining venues, full service spa, two outdoor pools and hot tub. Crescent Hotels and Resorts manage the resort and spa.

“While the Resort is currently undergoing an extensive restoration, we felt that this was the opportune time to partner with a top management company like KemperSports for the long term health of our two treasured golf courses,” said owner representative Chris Beavor.

KemperSports, which also manages premier golf resorts such as Bandon Dunes Golf Resort and Streamsong, will look to enhance the golf experience through superb customer service and course conditions.

“Bay Point Resort is one of the premier properties in the Southeast,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. “We look forward to working with the new ownership through the renovation process and re-establishing Bay Point as a must play & stay.”

Once the hotel and conference center renovation is complete, a full renovation of the 130 golf villas will commence.
