Kemper Celebrates Player Development

KemperSports, a Chicago based operator of golf courses, resorts, athletic clubs and lodging venues, announced that all the properties in their award-winning portfolio will celebrate Player Development Week June 23-29th. To commemorate the week long celebration, their golf courses will be offering free lessons from staff instructors to all new golfers.

Player Development Week is the cornerstone of the KemperSports Player Development Program-a proprietary initiative built to provide the needed tools and best practices at their more than 100 public, private and resort golf courses around the country. The program is designed to deliver innovative ways to reach an audience of non golfers and new ones from all spectrums of life.

“We are passionate about the game of golf and it’s natural for us to want to share our game with others,” said KemperSports President Josh Lesnik. “Player Development Week reiterates our commitment to introducing golf in an unintimidating and fun manner.”

In addition to the complimentary lessons, each property is being tasked with creating fun and engaging activities to entice golfers and non-golfers alike to visit their course. KemperSports properties in the Southeast include:

  • Golf Club at Cypress Head, Port Orange, FL
  • Stonebridge Golf Club, Gretna, LA
  • Palm Harbor Golf Club, Palm Coast, FL
  • Tunica National, Tunica, MS
  • Streamsong Resort, Streamsong, FL
  • Cape Fear National, Leland, NC
  • Governors Club, Brentwood, TN
  • Wind River Golf Club, Lenoir City, TN

One example of theses activities is Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Oregon, named the No. 1 Golf Resort in North America by Golf Digest and GOLF magazine, that will be celebrating Links Golf month in America throughout the month of July with special events for guests. ” The potential to become a golfer lies within the many people, we just want to ignite that passion, ” added Lesnik.
