Jackie Stoeling Wins BIG BREAK Florida

jackie stoeltingVero Beach resident Jackie Stoeling won the championship match on Golf Channel’s BIG BREAK Florida Monday May 19th finale of the 21st season, which was contested at the luxurious Four-Diamond AAA Omni Amelia Island Plantation in October, 2013. Filmed on location in northeast Florida and played on the 3 award winning courses at the Plantation, Oak Marsh, Ocean Links and Long Point, BIG BREAK was produced in partnership with VISIT FLORIDA.

Stoeling has been riding a wave of momentum on the golf course. Earlier in 2013, she qualified and made the cut in the prestigious U.S. Women’s Open played in June at Sebonack Golf Club in Southhampton, New York. In December Jackie earned conditional status for 2014 by finishing T38 during the Stage III of LPGA Qualifying School. “It means the world to me. I’m just so thankful and I can’t believe it.” said an emotional Stoeling after the conclusion of the BREAK’s final match. “This is a roller coaster. I played really well and this is going to change my life.”

As champion of BIG BREAK Florida, Jackie will receive an invitation to play in the LPGA Tour’s 2014 Manulife Financial Classic June 4-8 at the Grey Silo Golf Course in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. In addition, she receives;

  • $65,000 in cash, including $5m courtesy of Dick’s Sporting Goods and $10m from Macanudo Cigars.
  • Exempt status to the 2014 Symetra Tour season with all entry fees paid.
  • An endorsement contract from Adams Golf, including $10m in cash.
  • $10,000 in car rental credit from Avis Car Rental
  • $13,000 in travel credit courtesy of Travelocity
  • A four day, 3 night stay at any OMNI Golf Resort in the USA

As a result of winning individual challenges during the competition, she also earned an additional $11,500 and a return visit to the AAA Four Diamond OMNI Amelia Island Plantation.

She joins a successful field of Big Break alumni including Tommy(Two Gloves) Gainey who won at Reunion Resort on the Big Break VII season, Matt Every who won this year’s Arnold Palmer Invitational, and Ryann O’Toole who made the 2011 Solheim Cup team among others playing on professional tours around the world.

Twelve professional golfers started the series and Jackie Stoeling was the Last Lady Standing. Our congratulations to Jackie and best wishes for a successful career.
