Golf’s greatest champion, ambassador and philanthropist is combining his passions into an industry shaping business with the announcement that Jack Nicklaus introduced a new line of golf balls, with an emphasis on simplifying the game and giving back to charity and the game. He introduced three golf balls; Nicklaus Black, Blue and White to accommodate three skill levels of players using the traditional tees from which they typically play.

The balls which have begun shipping will initially be sold exclusively on line at www.NICKLAUS.com and through golf/pro shops at more than 200 Nicklaus designed courses nationwide. A percentage from every golf ball sold will be donated directly to the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation to support pediatric programs and hospitals nationwide. Visitors to the Nicklaus website will have the ability to support the Foundation with individual contributions.

“We all know that the game of golf can be challenging enough, so we are trying to simplify the decision-making process of selecting the right golf ball and at the same time provide golfers the highest quality balls and at a price that encourages charitable support,” Nicklaus said. “By buying these balls, players will get the added benefit of supporting our Foundation that will help children in need and their loving families.”

The idea of creating three balls corresponds to the teeing areas golfers typically play from. The Nicklaus White ball is designed for players who normally play the forward or white tees. The Blue is designed for players who typically play the middle or blue tees, and finally the Nicklaus Black is designed for the single-digit or better golfer who plays from the back tees.
