Hootie & the Blowfish Monday After the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am gets Radio Coverage

2016 Ryder Cup Captain Davis Love, LPGA Champion Natalie Gulbis, media personalities Dan Patrick and Mike Golic Among Celebrity Commitments

The Hootie & The Blowfish Monday After the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am will again shine a spotlight on Myrtle Beach, bringing a pair of nationally syndicated radio programs and a star-studded field to the area.

Darius Rucker and Mark Bryan will welcome celebrities to Myrtle Beach for the Monday After the MastersWestwood One’s Tiki & Tierney Show and the Doug Gottlieb Show, a CBS Sports Radio program, will originate from the first tee at Barefoot Resort’s Dye Course, the host of the 23rd annual event. Westwood One is America’s largest radio network.

The Monday After the Masters will be played on April 10.

“The eyes of the sports world turn to golf around The Masters, so it’s the perfect time for us to host one of America’s premier celebrity tournaments and two nationally syndicated radio programs,” said Bill Golden, Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday president. “We look forward to welcoming a star-studded Monday After the Masters field to Myrtle Beach and a national radio audience tuning in for the Tiki & Tierney and Doug Gottlieb shows.”

The Tiki & Tierney Show will air from 9 a.m. until noon. The CBS show’s hosts are former NFL great Tiki Barber, who is one of only three players to have at least 10,000 yards rushing and 5,000 yards receiving – and Brandon Tierney, an Emmy Award winning personality who has excelled on radio and television.

The Doug Gottlieb Show will broadcast from 3 to 6 p.m. A former standout college basketball player at Notre Dame and Oklahoma State, Gottlieb has emerged as one of CBS Sports’ most prominent voices.

Headlining the celebrities that have committed to play in this year’s event are 2016 Ryder Cup Captain and 21-time PGA Tour winner Davis Love, a host of basketball, football and hockey hall of famers, big-name media personalities and nationally recognized musicians.

Among those expected to play are Dan Patrick of NBC Sports, basketball legend Rick Barry, Grant Fuhr, one of hockey’s all-time greats and Bruce Smith, the NFL’s all-time leader in sacks. ESPN personalities Mike Golic Sr. and Mike Golic Jr. will be playing.

Country music star Cole Swindell, Grammy winner Dan Tyminski, and obviously, the guys from Hootie & the Blowfish – Mark Bryan, Dean Felber, Darius Rucker, and Jim Sonefeld – are among the musicians that will be in Myrtle Beach.

Among the high profile professional golfers slated to compete are LPGA legend and Hall of Famer Nancy Lopez, two-time major champion John Daly, former FedEx Cup winner Billy Horschel and Charlie Rymer.

Former LPGA champion Natalie Gulbis will be onsite and aspiring LPGA player and social media star Paige Spiranac will be playing.
