Gauge Design Golf Expands its New SPI-1 Line With the Introduction of The Devon Putter Featuring Patented Sole Plate Insert Technology
Gauge Design Golf, a premium golf company known for creating the most precise milled putters in the golf industry, today introduced the new SPI-1 Devon Putter featuring a patented Sole Plate Insert (SPI) technology. (Patent #6,422,950)
The classic Gauge Golf Design Devon head style is now available with the company’s new patented sole insert. This innovative insert is made from 6061 aluminum, and is designed to allow for more weight to be placed in the heel and toe sections of the putter. This enhanced weight distribution improves performance on off-center putts and maintains a solid feel at impact.
“What separates us from our competitors is our commitment to quality and innovation. Each of our putters is designed with the needs of the golfer in mind and we constantly strive to produce equipment that helps improve the overall enjoyment of the game. This patented insert technology allows us to offer a putter that maintains the look of a classic putter while improving the overall performance and feel through optimal weight distribution,” said David Whitlam, Founder and President, Gauge Design Golf.
The SPI-1 Devon Putter features a precision milled 303 stainless steel body in the heel, toe and face and a 6061 aluminum sole insert. It is available with a red or black insert and comes standard with a 71-degree lie, 3.5-degree loft, and 350-gram head weight. It is available in lengths from 32” – 36”. MSRP is $325.
