E-Z-GO Celebrates 60th Anniversary

“E-Z-GO is excited to celebrate its diamond anniversary this year, and to mark six decades of leadership in light transportation and service to the golf industry,” said E-Z-GO President Kevin Holleran. “We are also humbled, because we know that our success would not be possible without the support of our customers in the golf industry, many of whom have been loyal to E-Z-GO throughout its existence.”

E-Z-GO was founded by brothers and Army veterans Bev and Billy Dolan on June 13, 1954, in a one-room machine shop in Grovetown, Ga., near Augusta. The first E-Z-GO golf cars, dubbed the Model 100, were built using surplus 24-volt electric motors originally intended to power wingflaps on the B-17 Flying Fortress. From those humble beginnings, E-Z-GO has grown into a global leader in the design and manufacture of light-transportation vehicles.

Today, E-Z-GO manufactures more than 50 different vehicle models across the E-Z-GO, Cushman® and Bad Boy Buggies® brands, for industries and environments ranging from golf courses and resorts, to factories and commercial campuses, to neighborhood paths and off-road trails.

To celebrate its 60th anniversary, E-Z-GO will hold cocktail receptions for media members and show attendees of three major golf industry trade shows: the PGA Merchandise Show, the Golf Industry Show, and the Club Managers Association of America Business Expo. In addition to the celebrations, E-Z-GO will mark the anniversary by showcasing a classic, 1950s-vintage E-Z-GO golf car in its exhibit.

Throughout the shows, E-Z-GO will showcase the newly redesigned E-Z-GO TXT® golf car, the new Cushman Hauler™ PRO utility vehicle, the E-Z-GO Freedom® TXT and RXV® golf cars, and the Cushman FS line of food-and-beverage vehicles featuring FlexServe Technology.
