Bridgestone Eclipses 300,000 Live Consumer Ball Fittings

Bridgestone Golf, headquartered in Covington, Georgia, further solidified its position as the #1 ball-fitter in golf by announcing this September that it has surpassed the 300,000 milestone in live ball fittings. “The Bridgestone Challenge”, the company’s in person, free, live launch monitor based ball-fitting program has been educating golfers on how to find the right ball for their game since 2007. Now with 20 teams activated throughout the United States( and dozens more internationally) Bridgestone Golf fits nearly 2,000 golfers per week during the respective seasons. To celebrate this milestone, Bridgestone is calling on those who have experienced a Bridgestone Challenge fitting to share their success stories and possibly be featured on Bridgestone’s website and social media.

Through ball-fitting, Bridgestone offers a service, previously reserved for the world’s best players, to all golfers. Using launch monitors, their team of technicians analyze golfer’s swings and make a scientific recommendation as to which ball is the best choice for each individual. After nearly 8 years and more than 300,000 fittings, Bridgestone Golf has amassed a larger body of knowledge about amateur golf swings than any of its competitors leading to innovative new products that have bridged gaps in the marketplace.

Below are some key findings brought to life through the 300,000 Challenge fittings:

  • 75% were playing the wrong ball for their game.
  • 75% were recommended a better ball for their swing, gaining on average 9.4 yards per drive.
  • 13.83 yards per drive were gained by e6 fit consumers.
  • 10.28 yards per drive were gained by B330-RX fit consumers.

“In 2007 we launched ball fitting to show consumers how a properly fit golf ball can help their game,” said Corey Consuegra, Senior Director of Marketing, Bridgestone Golf. “Today ball fitting is something that nearly all golfers consider and we are proud to be the originator and leader in golf ball customization.”

Bridgestone Golf manufactures and markets premium golf balls, clubs and accessories under the Bridgestone and Precept brand names. Bridgestone is represented on the professional stage by a number of internationally famed golfers including, Fred Couples, Paula Creamer, Matt Kuchar, Stacey Lewis, Davis Love III, Brandt Snedeker, Karrie Webb and retired golfers and spokesmen Lee Trevino and David Feherty.
