Environmental Institute for Golf Program Runs thru June
Billy Casper Golf is the largest supporter of the 2015 Rounds 4 Research auction with 74 of its managed courses generously donating 296 individual rounds of golf in 13 states. The Rounds 4 Research program, which links golfers to bid on tee times in support of industry research, will open June 8 at www.biddingforgood.com, with more than 700 rounds (each round listed is for two or four players) of golf available at courses nationally.
Rounds 4 Research is a venture of the Environmental Institute for Golf (EIFG), the philanthropic arm of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA). It is presented in partnership with The Toro Co. Funds generated from the auction will support GCSAA research-related activities, its affiliated chapters and regional turfgrass organizations. Since launching nationally in 2012, Rounds 4 Research has raised more than $320,000 for turfgrass research, education and advocacy programs. The 2014 auctions raised $145,339.
Billy Casper Golf’s donations have a retail value of more than $14,000. It is one of the largest golf course management companies in the U.S., owning and/or operating more than 150 golf courses, country clubs and resorts in 29 states. It runs through June 21st
